Free tutoring, built by students, for students.

Bright Futures Canada pairs kids in grades 2–12 with university tutors — in the classroom and online — at no cost to families, ever.

why we started

“We started this as Queen's students who wanted to make a real impact on the youth in our community — because we believe every kid deserves the opportunity to pursue a brighter future, regardless of their circumstances.” — Jackson Cohen, Co-Founder of Bright Futures Canada

We're a student-led nonprofit, run by university students who tutor kids for free — in person at five partner schools across Kingston and our newest chapter in Halifax, and online for any student we serve. No fees, no waitlist bureaucracy, just consistent academic support from someone who remembers what grade 7 math felt like.
